Vintage HEILBRONN Germany Coat of Arms Oktoberfest Souvenir Hat Pin

Description

I purchased this Heilbronn Germany Coat of Arms Hat Pin while attending the Bavarian Beer Festival in Purling, NY in July 1975 while belonging to a German Band named the Mountaineers from Bellwood, PA.
I affixed this HEILBRONN Germany Coat of Arms Hat Pin on a Bavarian Hat that I purchased in 1973 as a uniform requirement for participating in the band.
The Mountaineers performed in a range of venues which included both indoor and outdoor locations.
I purchased a rain suit for the provided German style uniform and a rain cover for my Bavarian Hat, for this HEILBRONN Germany Coat of Arms Hat Pin and other affixed German Oktoberfest pins in the event of any inclement weather.
Upon leaving the Mountaineers Band at the end of summer of 1978, my Bavarian Hat and this HEILBRONN Germany Coat of Arms Hat Pin was placed in the manufacturer’s hat box and stored in my bedroom closet in my parents smoke free home.
After graduation from the Pennsylvania State University and receiving a Commission in the U.S. Army, I retrieved my Bavarian Hat and displayed it in several of my smoke free workplace offices with other personal and professional memorabilia.
Upon retirement, my Bavarian Hat including this HEILBRONN Germany Coat of Arms Hat Pin was placed back in its original hat box and was stored in my walk in closet in our Master Bedroom within our smoke free home.
Since relocating from Manassas, VA to Fort Myers, FL I no longer have the space to display my Bavarian Hat.
As a result, I am individually selling all my German Oktoberfest artifacts.
Therefore I am placing this HEILBRONN Germany Coat of Arms Hat Pin for sale on eBay.

The pin’s width is approximately ½ of an inchwide and its height is approximately 5/8 of an inch.
As exhibited, there are no chips or scratches on the front of the pin.

The pin and clasp are fully operational and shown in its raised position as shown in the
third attached high resolution photograph.
The height of the pin clasp is
approximately 5/8 of an inch.
