A vintage, hand-painted Coat Of Arms Turned Wood Bayern Plate / Wall Hanging. Measuring approximately 10.25 inches in diameter, this decorative wood plate is decorated with the coat-of-arms of Bayern (Bavaria) and its 10 key cities:
- Munchen (Munch)
- Augsburg
- Nurnburg
- Berchtesgaden
- Mittenwald
- Fussen
- Wartburg
-Garnish
- Regensburg
- Kreichenhall.
Plates like these hung in many of the wein stubes and gasthauses Tom visited when je worked in Germany in the 1980s, 90s and early 2000s and were a popular tourist item.
With no maker's marks, we do not know the exact date or place this was manufactured,  but given the style and quality of the piece, WE ARE GUESSING that it is of late-20th Century vintage...so sometime from theate 1970s to the late 1990s. Of course, we could be wrong, so if you have any better information on this piece, please let us know and we'll update this post as appropriate.

Condition
is Very Good, Used. No chips, cracks, breaks, scratches, wear or color fading in this plate. There is some dust and schmutz from long display and some minor dings on the back of the piece, but nothing that affects the functionality or looks of this plate. SEE the photos attached to this post for a better view of the condition of this marvelous souvenir plate.
