Late/Post War Russian Mosin Nagant 91/30 Stock + Hardware (Penny Auction)

Have a nice late dated Mosin Model 1891/30 Izhevsk that needs a better stock?
Up for auction is this very good condition late/post war, birch, Mosin Nagant stock manufactured by Izhevsk. The stock comes complete with butt plate, barrel bands, end cap, handguard and cleaning rod. All metal carries the post 1928 Izhevsk stamp. The stock has several proof marks. There is a cosmetic surface crack on the right side behind the recoil lug which does not go through the wood. Any Mosin barreled action with a round receiver will fit this stock.
This stock has a couple of interesting details not seen on many other examples.  The butt of the stock has a factory toe splice used by Izhevsk. This late/post-war modification allowed using narrower stock blanks. The factory used a V-shape joint which is shown in the pics above. In years of collecting this is the first of these thatI have seen. The stock also has slot above the cleaning rod that Izhevsk added beginning in 1941 which was useful in preventing the clogging of the cleaning rod retaining nut with mud.
This is a very interesting example that will add a lot to your existing Izhevsk late/post-war Izhevsk barreled receiver.
