    Heavy signs of wear on pickaxe.  Back side of pin is darkened, possibly from tarnishing.  Needle sticks past needle holder, and for that reason, pin might be from 1940s or earlier.  Needle is bent improperly and has discoloration etc. as well.  Please see photos for more details.
    Pin, horizontally, from head of pickaxe to handle is approximately 2 inches.  Height of pin, from top tip of pickaxe head to bottom tip, is approximately 1 inch.
