German Wood Plate Handmade Give Us This Day Christian & Wood Salt & Pepper Set

This is a handmade and painted wood plate plus a wooden salt and pepper shaker set. The three pieces did not originally come as a set. They are preowned and ….. no chips or cracks. The shakers’ finish has some wear in places…mainly on the top area. Please see pictures. The wood of the plate is a lighter wood tone and the shakers are a bit darker tone than the plate. A beautiful set for a kitchen or dining room.
The decorative plate (not for food use) has the words in German: ”Unter taglich brot gib uns heute” which means “Give us today our daily bread”. Not sure if the phrase is woodburned into the wood or lightly carved. There is also a carved design around the edge of the plate. Pretty flowers and leaves painted on the plate.
The salt has the German word ‘Salz’ painted on it and the pepper has ‘Pfeffer’. The set also has a house and maybe a water mill amid hills and trees scene on one side of each shaker. The shakers have screw on lids.
The back of the plate has ‘Handarbeit’ stamped on it…. which means handmade. There are no marks as far as maker or country on any of the pieces.
The plate measures 9 1/2”’ across and it is 29 1/2” around the outer edge.
The salt and pepper shakers are approximately 2 5/8” tall and the bases are about 1 1/2” across and are 5 5/8” around at the base.
