German wanderfreunde hiking medal to commemorate the 1984 STS-9 Columbia Space Shuttle Spacelab I Mission. American astronauts John W. Young, Brewster H. Shaw Jr., Owen K. Garriott, Robert A. Parker & Byron K. Lichtenberg, were joined by German astronaut Ulf Merbold (European Space Agency).
