    Description

From 1920's through beginning of World War 2 in Europe, the German Railway thru the German Travel Service published a series of excellent "German Guide Books" that covered various German Lands in great detail.  From the early 1930's on, these interesting booklets were a stadard size (about 10.5 cm x 22.5 am, vertical format) with interesting color covers.  In addition, many of the folders included detailed fold-out maps depicting the subject areas.  Some subjects are common, some quite rare.
"Hotels Recommended":  January 1932.  160 pages of hotel listings by city, Aachen to Zugspitze.  No map.
"Mecklenburg":  March 1932. 24 pages with map.
"On the Main and Rhine":  May 1933.  40 pages with map.
"Mark of Brandenburg":  October 1934.  36 pages, no map.
"German Eastern Alps":  October 1938.  This was after the annexation of Austria, and actually covers the western half of Austria.  40 double pages with map.
